Compact driftwood on a slate plate — ready to use, no soaking needed

Sera Scaper Wood — natural decorative wood for aquariums, available in S and M

Level: Easy — Ready to use. No special knowledge required.

The Sera Scaper Wood is a compact piece of driftwood mounted on a slate plate — this allows it to be placed directly in the aquarium without long soaking. Cover the slate plate with substrate for a natural effect where only the root is visible. Just like the Scaper Root, only a barely visible biofilm forms — no unsightly bacterial growth. Ideal for larger plants such as Anubias or Java fern.

✂️ Usage tips

Place the Scaper Wood directly in the aquarium and cover the slate plate with substrate for a natural effect. Tie Anubias or Java fern to the wood with fishing line — the plants will attach themselves. Combine with the Sera Scaper Root for a varied hardscape.

💡 Tip

The slate plate makes the Scaper Wood extra stable — ideal if you don't want to soak loose roots. Cover the plate completely with substrate for the most natural result.
