This tropical plant is cultivated all over the world for its edible tubers and is also called Taro and Eddoe.
It is one of the first cultivated plants.
In more northern gardens it is grown for its graceful, long heart-shaped leaves.
When the plant is in a pot, it is important that when the leaves start to grow, it can be watered even more.
