Effective against parasitic Crustacea species
eSHa alx is a medicine for ornamental fish against parasitic Crustacea species (Maxillipoda) such as Argulus (carp louse), Lernaea (anchor worm), Ergasilus (gill shrimp), Salmincola (cope shrimp), etc.
The parasitic crustacea occur on and in the skin of the fish and on the gills. The parasites can often be seen with the naked eye.
The symptoms of both parasites are similar:
Trying to jump out of the aquarium/pond, rubbing the whole body against stones and the bottom, visible spots where the parasites have stung, afterwards this turns white because the skin dies.
Pale gills, listlessness, nervous reactions, losing weight, becoming isolated from the group, stopping eating, etc.
Dosage:
Day 1: 1 drop per 7 l aquarium water
Day 7: 25% water change and vacuum the bottom.
If not all parasites are gone, 1 drop per 7 l of aquarium water can be added on day 14.
Day 21: 25% water change and vacuum the bottom.
Contents: 20 ml for up to 4000 l aquarium water.
