Gastrobac is a medicine for ornamental fish against bacterial slime formation on the skin and gills of ornamental fish in fresh water. The presence of large amounts of biological residues in the aquarium, such as food remains, dead water plants, fish and snails, significantly increases the infection-causing germ pressure of pathogens in the aquarium. The presence of large amounts of snails can cause bacterial diseases in fish, also referred to as bacterial snail disease and bacterial slime. GASTROBAC is well tolerated by fish, shrimps, plants and filter bacteria.
Gastrobac is not tolerated by snails, ornamental snails (e.g. apple snails etc.) should be removed. Larger amounts of dead animal and plant remains spoil the water quality and can cause oxygen deficiency in the aquarium. Pay attention to the water quality. If in doubt, change the water.
