The Xiphophorus Maculatus, better known as Platy, is a live-bearing fish species found mainly in Central America, where they live in groups. With various color patterns, they make a beautiful addition to any aquarium, and because they are not very demanding in terms of housing, they are an excellent beginner's fish.
