✂️ Care
Keep in a harem in an aquarium of at least 100 cm, with hard, alkaline water typical of Lake Malawi. Feed mainly plant-based food, as this species is herbivorous. As a mouthbrooder, the female carries the eggs and larvae in her mouth for a period for protection.
🐠 Combination tip
Relatively peaceful for a Malawi cichlid and can be combined well with other non-aggressive Malawi species.
