Air powered foam filter
The air-driven internal filters follow the principle of the mammoth pump or airlift. By means of an air pump, air is brought into the riser pipe via a hose. The air pulls the aquarium water upwards, the water flows through the fine sponge with an ideal surface and thus mechanically cleans the aquarium water. The nitrifying bacteria that are so important for the breakdown of harmful substances nestle inside the optimized sponges.
These filters are ideal for breeding larvae and young fish, which would otherwise disappear in normal filters due to their small size and swimming behaviour.
