Build your own canyon — stone by stone
The deep gorges, rugged walls, and earthy browns of the Grand Canyon — the Sera Rock Grand Canyon captures that ambiance in a single stone. With its highly fractured surface, deep crevices, and numerous cavities, this is one of the most versatile hardscape stones for aquascaping. Stack a few small pieces and you immediately have an impressive pillar or tower — like the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon. Use a large stone as an anchor point for a biotope setup or Iwagumi composition.
The rough, porous surface is ideal for attaching epiphytic plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra, or Java moss — which root directly into the cracks and crevices of the stone.
Important Water Chemistry Information
The Grand Canyon stone is slightly calcareous and can gradually increase carbonate hardness (KH). Check the KH weekly and adjust with a partial water change if necessary. Less suitable for aquariums with very soft water species or shrimp sensitive to hard water parameters.
