Ancistrus Leucostictus

A useful catfish, which eats a lot of algae.

They often grow to around 12 cm, but an outlier to 15 cm is also possible.

They scrape the algae from the window and also from the leaves with their mouths.
If they do this frequently on the leaves, the aquarium plants will be damaged and this will also be visible.
By feeding them in a varied manner, such as algae waffles, but also cucumber and courgette, the damage can be limited.

However, it is best to cut or clip off the broken leaves so that the aquarium plant will start producing new leaves.
