Betta Splendens Doubletail

⚠️ Level: Intermediate — must be kept solitary.

The Betta Splendens Doubletail gets its name from its distinctive double caudal fin and double dorsal fin, which gives this variety a strikingly broad and impressive silhouette. Please note: males are territorial and aggressive towards conspecifics and should never be kept in the same aquarium with another male or a female — the female will not survive this.

✂️ Care

Always keep solitary, in an aquarium with plenty of plants and low current — 30 to 50 liters is more than enough for one male. The Betta primarily stays in the upper water layer of the aquarium.

🐠 Combination tip

Never put two Bettas (males among themselves, or male and female) in the same aquarium — this leads to injuries or worse. It's best to keep them alone, possibly with very peaceful bottom dwellers at some distance.
