βοΈ Care
Provide a densely planted aquarium with plenty of swimming space. As a livebearing species, the mother carries the young in her belly for a while and releases them as soon as they are fully grown β provide sufficient hiding places (such as dense planting) if you want to keep the fry, otherwise they are often eaten.
π Combination Tip
The difference in gender is clearly visible: females have a fin under their belly, males have a gonopodium. Keep as a pair or harem β pay attention to the male/female ratio to limit excessive reproduction.
