✂️ Care

Keep in a school of at least 7 in an aquarium of at least 120 cm — due to its size and active swimming behavior, this species needs space. Good lighting brings out the iridescent colors best. As an egg scatterer, this fish spreads its eggs loosely among plants, without further parental care.

🐠 Combination tip

Peaceful and easily combined with other African species of similar size, such as certain West African cichlids or larger barbs.
