Place the driftwood directly in the aquarium — the Microsorum is already attached and does not need to be re-secured. Java fern grows slowly and is very low maintenance. Driftwood may initially release some tannins that slightly color the water brown; this is normal and will diminish after a few weeks.

Do I need to do anything before placing it in the aquarium?
No, the Microsorum is already attached to the wood. You can place it directly in the aquarium.

My water turns brown after placement — is that normal?
Yes, driftwood releases tannins initially. This is completely safe and will naturally diminish after a few weeks.

Is this decoration suitable for a shrimp tank?
