The Blue Angelfish (Pterophyllum Scalare Blue) is an elegant angelfish with a beautiful, silver-blue coloration. It is calm and graceful in movement, but it is a species that requires a large, tall aquarium and suitable planting.

✂️ Care

Keep in a group of at least 5 to 6 individuals, in an aquarium of at least 120 cm long and 60 cm high. Provide plenty of planting, preferably Vallisneria or larger Echinodorus species — these leaves are used for cleaning and egg-laying, and also dim the light (Angelfish do not like overly bright light). When a pair forms, they keep other fish at a distance to protect their clutch or fry.

🐠 Combination tip

Calm by nature, but a pair can exhibit territorial behavior around the breeding area. Combine with other calm, not too small community fish.
