✂️ Usage tips
Dose 5 ml per 200 liters daily, preferably in the morning when the lights come on. For a new aquarium, you can give a double dose on the first day. For heavily planted aquariums, increase the dosage to 1 ml per 20 liters. Combine with Seachem Flourish for complete plant nutrition.
💡 Tip
Flourish Excel can also be used specifically against algae — apply a concentrated dose directly to the affected area with a syringe for effective algae control.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Is Flourish Excel a complete replacement for CO₂ injection?
For low-tech aquariums, Flourish Excel is an excellent alternative. For heavily planted scape aquariums with demanding plants, CO₂ injection is more effective.
Is Flourish Excel safe for shrimp?
When dosed correctly, Flourish Excel is safe. Start with a lower dosage in shrimp aquariums and gradually build up.
Can I combine Flourish Excel with CO₂ injection?
This is not necessary — Flourish Excel is an alternative to CO₂. When using CO₂ injection, Flourish Excel is redundant.
