Sherry Barb Longfin

The Sherry Barb Longfin (Puntius Titteya Longfin) is a veil-finned variant of the well-known Cherry Barb, with the same calm nature but longer, graceful fins. The distinction between male and female is clear: males develop a beautiful red color, while females may be more brownish.

✂️ Care

Keep in a school of at least 5 pieces. Cherry Barbs like plenty of hiding places and some leaves on the bottom. Dark substrate and not too bright light will make them feel more at ease and encourage them to show themselves more often.

🐠 Combination Tip

Do not combine with fish that have long fins and/or feelers, such as angelfish and gouramis — the Cherry Barb may nip at them. It does well with other calm species without long fins.
