Do not plant the rhizome too deep in the substrate. Cryptocoryne Green Gecko is very low-maintenance and adapts to almost any aquarium. When transplanting or during water changes, 'crypt-melt' can occur — the leaves turn yellow and die off. This is normal, and the plant almost always recovers within a few weeks.

Crypt-melt is a natural reaction to change (transplanting, different water parameters). The leaves yellow and die off, but the rhizome remains alive, and the plant grows back within a few weeks.
