Place the driftwood piece directly into the aquarium — the Bucephalandra is already attached and does not need to be re-secured. Bucephalandra grows slowly and is very low maintenance. Driftwood may release some tannins initially, which can lightly brown the water; this is normal and will diminish after a few weeks.

Is each piece truly different?
Yes, as this is natural driftwood, the shape and size vary per piece. You will receive a unique combination of wood and plant.

Do I need to do anything before placing it in the aquarium?
No, the Bucephalandra is already attached to the wood. You can place it directly into the aquarium.

My water turns brown after placement — is that normal?
Yes, driftwood releases tannins initially. This is completely safe for fish and plants and will diminish naturally after a few weeks. Activated carbon in your filter can speed up this process.

Is this decoration suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes, both the driftwood and the Bucephalandra are completely shrimp-friendly.
