Rinse the culture gel carefully. Tie onto a grid or stone for the foreground, or let it float on the water surface. Regularly remove excess moss.

Tie with fishing line onto a grid for a perfectly flat carpet in the foreground. Shrimp love to graze on the biofilm that forms on the moss.
