Rotala Colorata achieves its best color with plenty of light and regular fertilization. With CO₂, the plant grows faster and more compactly. Prune regularly to encourage branching — cuttings can be replanted directly.

💡 Planting tip

Plant in groups of 5–7 stems for a full color effect. Combines beautifully with green foreground plants such as Eleocharis parvula or Hemianthus callitrichoides.

How do I get the most beautiful red color?
Maximum lighting and a stable CO₂ supply are key. Also add iron-rich plant fertilizer for the deepest colors.

My plant arrived yellow or limp — is that normal?
