✂️ Care

Place the Water Soldier freely on the water surface — the plant floats naturally and spreads via runners. In winter, the plant sinks to the bottom and overwinters as a turion (winter bud). In spring, it floats back up by itself. No further care needed.

💡 Planter's tip

Ideal for a natural pond — the Water Soldier provides excellent hiding places for tadpoles, salamanders, and small fish. Combines beautifully with other native aquatic plants such as Water Lily or Yellow Pond Lily for an ecologically responsible pond.
