Vallisneria Torta, also known as Dwarf Corkscrew Vallisneria, is the most compact Vallisneria species. Its bright green, spirally twisted leaves grow to a maximum height of 20–40 cm — perfect for smaller aquariums. The plant is easy to care for and will eventually produce runners with young plants.

Plant Vallisneria Torta with the crown just above the substrate in sand or fine gravel. The plant requires very high light for compact, twisted growth. Liquid fertilization such as Sera Florena supports healthy growth. Please note: sensitive to glutaraldehyde (Excel). Always trim overly long leaves at the base, never halfway.

Thanks to its compact size, Torta is ideal for smaller aquariums or as a mid-ground accent in larger tanks. The plant spreads by itself via runners — regularly remove excess runners to prevent overgrowth.
