✂️ Care
Cryptocoryne Parva grows slowly and has slightly higher demands than other Cryptocoryne species — sufficient light and stable water parameters are important. Do not plant the rhizome too deep in the substrate. When replanting or during water changes, 'crypt-melt' can occur — this is normal and the plant almost always recovers within a few weeks.
💡 Planter's tip
Plant in groups for a faster carpet effect in the foreground. Be patient — Parva grows slowly but rewards with a dense, compact result.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Why is Parva more difficult than other Cryptocorynes?
Parva grows slower and is more sensitive to fluctuations in water quality than most other Cryptocoryne species. Stability is the key to success.
What is 'crypt-melt' and should I be concerned?
Crypt-melt is a natural reaction to change. The leaves turn yellow and die off, but the rhizome remains alive, and the plant regrows within a few weeks.
My plant arrived yellow or limp — is that normal?
Yes, this is transport stress and almost always temporary. Give the plant 1–2 weeks to acclimatize. For persistent problems: contact us.
Is this plant suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes, completely shrimp-friendly.
