Plant Eleocharis pusilla 'Mini' in small clumps 1–2 cm apart in nutrient-rich substrate. With sufficient light and CO₂, the plant spreads via runners and forms an extremely dense, low-growing carpet. Regularly add liquid plant fertilizer, such as Sera Florena.
