Brevibora Dorsiocellata
The Brevibora Dorsiocellata, also known as the Eyespot Rasbora, is an enchanting mini-fish with a striking black eyespot on its dorsal fin. This small, elegant schooling fish from Southeast Asia is perfect for enthusiasts of nano-aquariums and biotope setups, bringing a refined touch with its lively swimming behavior and subtle colors.
Ideal conditions:
The Brevibora Dorsiocellata thrives best at a water temperature between 24-28°C and a pH value of 4.0-7.5, with soft, slightly acidic water being preferred. An aquarium of at least 60 cm is sufficient for a school of at least 6 individuals. Create a natural biotope with dark substrate, floating plants, driftwood, and subdued lighting to best showcase this magnificent fish.
Diet:
As a carnivore, this fish prefers live and frozen food. Feed small mosquito larvae, brine shrimp, daphnia, cyclops, and microworms. Quality flakes and fine granules are also accepted, but live food ensures the most vibrant colors and optimal condition.
