Essential UVB Lighting for Healthy Reptiles
The Arcadia Compact D3 Lamp provides the UVB radiation that reptiles need for vitamin D3 synthesis — indispensable for healthy bones, a strong immune system, and proper metabolism. Without sufficient UVB, reptiles can develop serious health problems, such as metabolic bone disease (MBD).
Its compact form makes this lamp easy to combine with a separate heat source and fits most standard fixtures. Available in 7% and 12% UVB, allowing you to choose the correct intensity for your species and terrarium size.
When to choose which percentage?
- 7% UVB — suitable for forest species and animals that live in partial shade (e.g., bearded dragons in smaller terrariums, green iguanas)
- 12% UVB — suitable for desert and savannah animals with high UVB requirements (e.g., bearded dragons, uromastyx)
