  • Perfect for contrast: Combines beautifully with broad-leaved plants for visual variation

Care & Placement

Hygrophila Salicifolia Narrow Leaf is easy to care for and grows well in normal to high light. CO2 supplementation isn't strictly necessary, but it does promote more compact growth and more intense color. Plant the stems in clusters of 5-7 in the background of your aquarium for a lush, natural effect.

With good light and sufficient nutrients, the plant develops beautiful, long, narrow leaves with a fresh green color. Regular pruning of the tops encourages branching and ensures denser, bushier growth. You can easily replant the cut tops to propagate the plant.

The plant grows rapidly, especially under optimal conditions with CO2 and proper fertilizer, so pruning weekly to biweekly may be necessary to maintain the desired height. Remove old, lower leaves to keep the plant healthy and attractive.
