Cryptocoryne Wendtii is very low maintenance and adapts to almost any aquarium. Do not plant the rhizome too deep in the substrate. During replanting or water changes, 'crypt-melt' may occur — the leaves yellow and die. This is normal, and the plant almost always recovers within a few weeks.

What is 'crypt-melt' and should I be concerned?
Crypt-melt is a natural reaction to change (replanting, different water parameters). The leaves yellow and die, but the rhizome remains alive, and the plant grows back within a few weeks.

Yes, this is transport stress and almost always temporary. Give the plant 1–2 weeks to acclimatize. For persistent problems, please contact us.
