✂️ Care

Plant Vallisneria Asiatica with the crown just above the substrate in sand or fine gravel. The plant needs a lot of light for compact, twisted growth. With too little light, the leaves stretch and lose their characteristic twist. Liquid fertilizer such as Sera Florena supports healthy growth. Please note: sensitive to glutaraldehyde (Excel).

💡 Planter's tip

The twisted leaves provide a decorative, sculptural effect — ideal as an accent in the mid-zone. Plant in groups of 5–10 for a full effect. The plant spreads by itself via runners.

❓ Frequently asked questions

My leaves are no longer twisting — what's wrong?
This is almost always caused by insufficient light. Increase the light intensity for the characteristic twisted leaves.

My leaves turn brown after trimming — what am I doing wrong?
Always trim leaves at the base, never halfway. Trimming halfway causes brown tips.

Is this plant suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes, completely shrimp-friendly.
