Neon Tetra

Paracheirodon Innesi

Did you know that in the wild Neon Tetras swim in schools of thousands of fish together?
The name Neon Tetra comes from its colours, as the Neon Tetra appears to emit blue light, just like a neon lamp.
But did you know that the bright colors of the Neon Tetra disappear when it goes to sleep? It does this to not be noticed by enemies when it sleeps.

Because of the enormous schools they are also seen as one large fish, which makes them unattractive to potential enemies.
