The Chladophora aegagropila, better known as the Marimo moss ball, is technically an algae but behaves like a plant: it grows slowly, filters the water, produces oxygen, and is virtually indestructible. Shrimp love it — they climb on it, graze its surface, and hide among its fibers.

✂️ Care
Regularly turn the moss ball to prevent brown spots and maintain its round shape. Rinse it during water changes for a fresh, green color. If there's too much light, it may float due to photosynthesis gases — this is normal.
💡 Tip
Shrimp love it as a hiding place and food source. Fish use it as a plaything and resting spot — a timeless, organic accent in any aquarium.
