Easy Grow 81 Micrantemum Monte Carlo - In Vitro
You will receive: 1 In Vitro cup (Easy Grow) — completely free of algae, snails, and pathogens. Ready to plant directly into any aquarium.
Micranthemum Monte Carlo is a light green ground cover with small, round leaves that grows creeping through the aquarium. Easier and faster than HC Cuba, but with a comparable carpet effect. Regular trimming keeps the carpet compact and stimulates horizontal growth. This Easy Grow In Vitro version is 100% sterile grown — ideal for shrimp tanks and sensitive aquariums.

✂️ Care
Gently rinse the culture gel under lukewarm water. Divide the plant into small portions and plant them with tweezers at ±2 cm spacing in the substrate. The plant grows creeping and thus forms a continuous carpet. Regular trimming stimulates horizontal growth and keeps the carpet compact. Liquid fertilizer like Sera Florena supports healthy growth.
💡 Planter's tip
For a complete carpet in a 60 cm tank, we recommend 3–4 cups. Combines beautifully with rocks or driftwood and with Eleocharis parvula for a varied foreground.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Can I keep Monte Carlo without CO₂?
Yes, you can. Without CO₂, the plant grows slower, but it still forms a carpet with sufficient light.
How many cups do I need for a complete carpet?
Count on ±1 cup per 15×15 cm substrate surface. For a 60 cm wide tank, you typically need 3–4 cups.
My plant arrived yellow or limp — is that normal?
Yes, In Vitro plants are grown emersed and will adapt. Give the plant 1–2 weeks. For persistent problems: contact us.
Is this plant suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes — especially as In Vitro, it's ideal for shrimp tanks, completely free of pests.
