Eleocharis Vivipara, also known as Umbrella Plant, is a special Eleocharis species from North and Central America. The plant forms small daughter plants at the tips of its stems — hence the name Vivipara (live-bearing). The hanging runners create an elegant, umbrella-like effect in the mid- or background.
