Limnophila Hippuridoides - In Vitro
You will receive: 1 In Vitro cup — completely free of algae, snails, and pathogens. Ready to plant directly into any aquarium.
⚠️ Level: Advanced — Limnophila Hippuridoides requires high light and CO₂ for the most beautiful purple-red leaf colors.
Limnophila Hippuridoides is a striking stem plant with finely branched, needle-like leaf whorls in a rare combination of green and deep purple-red. Under strong lighting, the purple-red underside of the leaves intensifies to a deep burgundy — a color accent that adds warmth and depth to any aquascape. The In Vitro version is 100% sterile grown — ideal for shrimp tanks and sensitive aquariums.

✂️ Care
Gently rinse the culture gel under lukewarm water. Plant 5–10 stems in a compact group in the mid- or background. High light is essential for the most intense purple-red leaf colors. CO₂ promotes faster, more compact growth. Prune regularly and replant the tops for a denser group. Liquid nutrients like Sera Florena support healthy growth.
💡 Planter's tip
The fine, feather-light leaf whorls move beautifully in the water flow. Combines nicely with fresh green plants like Staurogyne Repens or Rotala Rotundifolia for maximum color contrast.
