Java fern is an epiphyte and does not grow in the substrate — tie each plant with string or thread to wood or rock. After a few weeks, the plant will attach itself. All species in this mix are very low-maintenance and suitable for beginners.

Do I need to plant these plants in the substrate?
No, all Microsorum species are epiphytes and grow best tied to wood or rock, not in the substrate.

My plants arrived yellow or limp — is that normal?
Yes, this is transport stress and almost always temporary. Give the plants 1–2 weeks to acclimate. For persistent problems: contact us.

Are these plants suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes, all Microsorum species in our mix are shrimp-friendly.
