✂️ Care

Plant the tuber in nutrient-rich soil — the bulb should partially protrude above the substrate to prevent rotting. The plant grows quickly and forms large leaves. Regularly trim floating leaves to encourage underwater growth and prevent other plants from being overshadowed. Liquid fertilizer such as Sera Florena supports healthy growth.

💡 Planter tip

Ideal as a solitary eye-catcher in larger aquariums. The reddish-brown leaves with dark spots give a tropical, dramatic appearance. Combine with bright green plants for maximum contrast.

❓ Frequently asked questions

My plant only produces floating leaves — what do I do?
Regularly trim the floating leaves. The plant will then put more energy into underwater leaves.

How deep should I plant the tuber?
The tuber should partially protrude above the substrate — do not completely cover to prevent rotting.

Is this plant suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes, completely shrimp-friendly.
