✂️ Care

Plant the roots firmly in sand or gravel with the crown just above the substrate. Plenty of light is essential — in insufficient light, the red hue fades to green. Always trim overly long leaves at the base. Liquid fertilizer such as Sera Florena supports healthy growth and color intensity. Please note: sensitive to glutaraldehyde (Excel). Suitable for aquariums of 100 liters or more.

💡 Planter tip

Plant in groups of 3–5 with 5–10 cm spacing for a lush curtain effect. The long leaves will fold over at the water surface — keep this in mind regarding aquarium height.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

My leaves are green instead of reddish-brown — what's wrong?
The red color only develops with sufficient light. Increase light intensity for a more intense copper-red hue.

My leaves turn brown after trimming — what am I doing wrong?
Always trim leaves at the base, never halfway. Trimming halfway causes brown tips.

Is this plant suitable for a shrimp tank?
Yes, completely shrimp-friendly.
