Shrimp Granules is the staple food made from gently produced granules without colourings and preservatives for all shrimps in freshwater and seawater.
The balanced recipe, with natural ingredients like spirulina and willow bark, provides everything shrimp need for healthy growth and a safe molt. Fertility, color, and resistance are specifically enhanced.
The small sinking granules remain stable for a very long time, so the shrimps can grab hold of them – in accordance with their natural feeding habits – and eat them slowly, without polluting the water.
Food suitable for shrimps and crayfish
In the wild, most shrimp of the Caridina and Neocaridina genera feed on growths on leaves, roots, and stones. Sera's shrimp food softens over time, allowing the shrimp to ingest it slowly, thus reflecting their natural feeding habits.
Sera's crayfish food is also specifically tailored to the needs of these animals. Most crayfish species (e.g., Astacus , Cherax , Procambarus ), as well as many crabs (e.g., mangrove crabs), feed primarily on fallen leaves and other organic matter, such as carrion, in the wild. Aquatic creatures such as insect larvae, gammarus, and aquatic snails are also regularly on their menu. The staple food for crayfish therefore consists of high-quality ingredients of both plant and animal origin.
Both types of food contain an appropriate amount of calcium to support the safe moulting process of the animals.
