Care & Placement
Limnophila Sessiliflora is very easy to maintain and has few demands. The plant grows well in normal to high light and does not require CO2 supplementation, although this does accelerate growth and makes the leaves finer and more feathered. Plant the stems in groups of 5-7 in the background of your aquarium for a lush, natural effect.
In high light and with good nutrition, the plant develops beautiful, finely feathered leaves with a fresh green color. Regular pruning of the tips stimulates branching and ensures denser, bushier growth. The trimmed tips can be easily replanted to propagate the plant - new roots will form within a few days.
The plant grows quickly, especially under optimal conditions, so weekly to bi-weekly pruning may be necessary to maintain the desired height and shape. Remove old, lower leaves to keep the plant healthy and attractive.Specifications:
