This mercury vapour lamp simulates the sunlight that reptiles need. It combines visible light and infrared heat with natural UVA and UVB radiation. UVA helps reptiles to see well and stimulates their appetite and immune system. The balanced and safe UVB radiation enables vitamin D3 synthesis and prevents bone diseases. Infrared helps reptiles to warm their bodies while basking in the sun. The lamp has built-in overheating protection: the lamp switches off when it gets too hot and restarts after it has cooled down. The lamp can only be used vertically in a well-ventilated E27 ceramic holder. Also available in the Terra Della range. 4 different strengths are available. The size of your terrarium and the type of reptile determine the required wattage.
