✂️ Usage tips
Place 1–2 leaves per 50 liters of aquarium water. The leaves gradually dissolve and lightly brown the water — this is normal and harmless. Replace the leaves when they have completely dissolved. Shrimp love to eat the decomposing leaves.
💡 Tip
Ideal for shrimp aquariums and biotope aquariums with freshwater fish such as tetras, apistogrammas, and discus — the humic acids from the leaves create an authentic blackwater environment.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Do Catappa leaves cloud the water?
The leaves lightly brown the water due to natural humic acids. This is completely harmless and gives the aquarium an authentic blackwater look.
How long does one leaf last?
A leaf gradually dissolves over 2–4 weeks depending on the aquarium size and water flow. Replace when the leaf has completely dissolved.
