✂️ Care

Provide sufficient hiding places such as driftwood and caves (important for cave spawners), and strong currents with high oxygen saturation. As a herbivore, a diet rich in vegetables and algae wafers is important, supplemented with driftwood to graze on.

🐠 Combination tip

Peaceful towards other fish, but can be territorial towards its own kind — provide ample space and hiding places.

❓ Frequently asked questions

What is an L-number?
L-numbers are a classification system for Loricariidae (armored catfish) for which the exact scientific name is not always yet established.

What should I feed?
Mainly plant-based food such as vegetables and algae wafers — driftwood in the aquarium is also important as a food source.

Can I keep multiple specimens together?
Yes, provided there is enough space and hiding places to limit territorial behavior among them.
