Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is the basic nutrient for aquarium plants and enables the establishment of a slightly acidic pH value — ideal for many plants and fish. The Sera CO₂-Start system has been specially developed for aquariums up to approx. 120 liters and consists of an optically discreet CO₂ diffusion reactor and the corresponding CO₂-Tabs plus. Easy to install and operate, even by beginners without prior knowledge.

Install the diffusion reactor in a place with good water flow for optimal CO₂ distribution. Add the CO₂-Tabs plus according to the dosage instructions on the packaging. Combine with Sera Florena for complete plant nutrition — CO₂ for growth, Florena for nutrients.
💡 Tip
Monitor the pH value when using CO₂ fertilization. A slight drop in pH is normal and beneficial for many plants and fish. Ensure the pH does not drop below 6.5.
