Pleco Chips is the staple food without colourings and preservatives for rasping and sucking bottom fish such as Ancistrus and other L-catfish.
The balanced recipe with a high fibre content (including fibres from willow bark and nettle) and natural Spirulina supports healthy digestion and development.
The fast-sinking chips, which become pliable in water, retain their shape for at least 24 hours and do not pollute the water. This allows catfish, which are primarily nocturnal, to feed slowly, which is consistent with their natural feeding habits.
Food suitable for catfish
Catfish are generally rather shy aquarium inhabitants. Some are crepuscular or emerge only at night, searching for food by digging, scraping, and sucking in the substrate. Therefore, they need food that sinks to the bottom and retains its shape for a long time. Most catfish are omnivorous, but there are also species that prefer a predominantly plant-based diet (e.g., armored catfish) or animal-based diet (e.g., armored catfish). sera offers three staple foods for catfish, whose different compositions and structures optimally meet their respective needs.
