Aquarium Gravel Black Coarse is a decorative, black gravel with a grain size of 2-3 mm, offering both functional benefits and design variety. Its rounded texture makes it particularly friendly to bottom-dwelling species such as armored catfish and other bottom-dwelling fish. At the same time, the grain size allows aquarium plants to grow safely and ensures good substrate drainage – important prerequisites for a healthy, stable environment.

The intense, deep black color creates a striking contrast with light-colored rocks, roots, and plants, enhancing the color perception of many ornamental fish species. This makes the gravel ideal for anyone who prefers a modern aquarium design with clean lines or strong color contrasts—whether as a complete substrate or as an accent in the foreground or center.

Aquarium Gravel Black Coarse is _CO2- resistant, water-neutral, and doesn't affect water parameters—an important prerequisite for a stable aquarium ecosystem. It has been tested for harmful substances by an independent institute according to DIN 38415-6 / EN ISO 15088 and is therefore also fully suitable for sensitive animals or animals used for breeding. The gravel is pre-washed. However, it is recommended to clean it further before placing it in the aquarium.
