Eleocharis is one of the most popular carpeting plants for aquariums. With its delicate, grass-like stems, it creates a lush green carpet on the bottom of your aquascape—perfect for the Iwagumi style or any other natural composition.

Why Eleocharis?

• Carpet-forming—grows horizontally via runners and completely covers the substrate
• Fine and elegant—the thin stems create an airy, natural effect
• Suitable for CO₂ systems—grows best with CO₂ and good light, but some variants also thrive in low-tech setups

Care Tips

Plant Eleocharis in small bunches close together for the fastest substrate coverage. Regular trimming stimulates horizontal growth and keeps the carpet compact and dense.
