Hygrophila Angustifolia Rubra
You will receive: 1 pot, ready to plant — freshly delivered from the nursery.
✅ Level: Easy — Hygrophila Angustifolia Rubra is one of the most reliable background plants you can choose. CO₂ not required.
Hygrophila Angustifolia Rubra is an elegant, narrow-leafed variant of the popular Hygrophila Angustifolia from Southeast Asia. This robust stem plant stands out with graceful, lanceolate leaves and grows reliably under almost all conditions — an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquascapers. Due to its rapid growth, the plant also quickly absorbs excess nutrients, which helps to limit algae growth in newly set up aquariums.

✂️ Care
Plant the stems in groups of 5–7 in the mid to background for a lush effect. The plant grows well in normal to high light and does not require CO₂, although this does accelerate growth and keeps the leaves more compact. Prune regularly to encourage branching and simply replant the cut tops — this way you propagate the plant almost for free. Remove old, lower leaves to keep the plant healthy.
