Hygrophila Difformis, also known as Water Wisteria, is one of the most popular and decorative aquarium plants from Asia. Underwater, this stem plant develops beautifully finely feathered, branched leaves that create an airy, elegant effect — very different from its emersed leaves. Thanks to its rapid growth, the plant effectively absorbs excess nutrients, which helps to limit algae growth in newly set up aquariums.

Plant 3–5 stems in a group in the mid to background for a lush effect. With plenty of light and good nutrition, the plant develops the most beautiful, finely feathered leaves. Regularly prune the tips to encourage branching and simply replant them — new roots will form within a few days. Remove old bottom leaves to keep the plant healthy.
